College Answer  This particular database uses a matching system to help you locate appropriate scholarships. Filling out the required questionnaire takes about 20-25 minutes.

College Board  In the paying for college section you can complete the questionnaire and their Scholarship Search tool will find potential opportunities from a database of more than 2,000 undergraduate scholarships, internships, and loan programs.

FastWeb  FastWeb is one of the better known scholarship websites and therefore, it is continually updated with newly created scholarships. The questionnaire used for scholarship matching takes about 20 minutes to complete.

FAFSA on the Web  Determine your eligibility for federal funding when you apply for federal financial aid on-line.  Completing the FAFSA is free, you should never have to pay to submit a FAFSA.  How to complete the FAFSA

Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education  and the Alaska Student Loan Corporation administer scholarship and loan programs providing access to postsecondary education which otherwise might not be available to Alaskans.

Visit the web site for all schools you are considering. You should be able to find out more about school-based awards there. In addition, schools often list national scholarships on their web sites that you could receive whether you attend that school or not.

Occupational Outlook Handbook A nationally recognized source of career information.  The handbook lists professional organizations related to each field. Professional organizations often offer scholarships to people studying in their field.

Alaska Career Information System (AKCIS)  In addition to information on more than 4,000 accredited two- and four-year colleges, universities and technical schools AKCIS can connect you to financial aid sources including scholarships.
