Receiving books and materials for distance courses can take longer than expected. It is vital that students register early for distance classes in order to receive materials in time for the first class. Each campus has a different policy for books for distance classes:
UAS Distance Books - Ketchikan
Materials are shipped directly to the student outside of Ketchikan upon receipt of payment or beginning two weeks prior to the start of the class (whichever is later).
UAF Center for Distance Education & College of Rural Alaska
Materials will be sent to a student upon registration. Books come from the Center for Distance Education in Fairbanks or the delivering campus. Book fees are often included in the total cost of a course.
UAS Distance Books - Juneau & Sitka
Students are responsible for ordering books through MBS Direct at 1-800-325-3252 or online at: ENTER The UAS Virtual Book Store
