Student Government supports a rich mix of activities and programs which create an atmosphere of opportunity for students to develop and practice organizational and leadership skills in a nurturing learning environment. The broad range of student activities provides a stimulating environment which enhances personal growth and fosters social and professional development. Student committees and councils provide a wide variety of outstanding leadership opportunities for University of Alaska Southeast students.

Student Government offers students a variety of opportunities to get involved on campus. Student Government's staff can assist you in making the most of the learning experiences that take place outside the classroom. Students can develop leadership skills, techniques and strategies that transfer immediately to any situation while making friends, relieving stress and having fun.

Our home page is designed to assist you with the various leadership opportunities, services, and links to other departments which fall under the Student Government umbrella. Student Government works collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty to develop programs and support systems that reflect diversity, instill self-reliance, leadership and responsible action, and provide enrichment to the educational social, political, and cultural life of the campus and the community at large.
