Faculty Notification Letters
Faculty Notification Letters are created by Disability Services when a student with a documented disability has requested services or accommodations that require faculty involvement. Common topics addressed in FN letters are testing accommodations, note-taking assistance, use of ASL interpreters, use of assistive technology or adaptive software for alternate format materials or liaison issues related to specific concern that is disability related.
These letters are unique to each student.
Typically, the student hand delivers the Faculty Notification letter to the professor or instructor during office hours or on the first day of class. These letters are strictly CONFIDENTIAL in nature.
