Students in Ketchikan have access to a variety of methods of instruction and should discuss these options with their advisor to determine which method is best for their learning style and life style. 

Typical delivery methods include:

  • Classroom based courses students meet face-to-face with their instructor to present and discuss the instructional materials.
  • Audioconference courses lectures are delivered via the phone.  Local students may be expected to come onto campus for the course and faculty may use other resources like web pages and videos.
  • Web-based courses meet through the internet using the UASOnline course management site.  Students may not have a structured meeting time but will have assignment deadlines and often are required to post regularly in online discussions. E-Live courses meets at a structured time through elluminate software found at your UASOnline course site.  Student must download and test software before the first day of class.
