Computer Information & Office Systems

The University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan Computer Information & Office Systems (CIOS) Department offers courses that support students seeking certificates, associate degrees and bachelor degree programs. Courses are offered both locally and by distance mechanisms, mainly through the web-based format.

CIOS courses include the basics of computer utilizations as well as more advanced classes in software applications including the Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. In addition courses designed to educate students in platforms that cross computers (ie. Adobe Acrobat) are popular as are software classes which teach web page design and formatting.
